A major sponsor at NSA Welsh Sheep 2025 is McCartneys, one of the oldest and largest multi-disciplined private practices in the United Kingdom. The firm has a longstanding heritage in supporting the needs of the countryside economy and runs five livestock markets at Brecon, Kington, Knighton, Ludlow and Worcester. 

Thriving weekly markets attract buyers from across the UK. A survey departments offers advice on all planning and building related matters, while a dispute resolution department specifically set up to meet modern day requirements. There is also a commercial department, as well as a fine art and antiques section. 

Jenny Layton Mills Bsc (Hons) MRICS, FAAV, FLAA has been a partner in McCartneys LLP for more than 20 years.

Jenny says the firm has traditional roots and a modern progressive outlook. It is owned by individuals with personal contact between client, staff and community. The ethos is of common gain out of common endeavour. It is a business where people matter and where good service is considered to be the key to profit.

Jenny has been with the firm for more than 25 years and sells the finished lambs at Knighton Market every week, together with regularly selling store cattle at both Knighton and Brecon Markets. 

She is a qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor and completes many valuations and sales /lettings of farms throughout Mid Wales and the borders. She farms a flock of Texel and Dutch Spotted Sheep with her 9 year old Son Tommy in the Golden Valley, Herefordshire.
